Held since 2012, the Innovation International Symposium on Interactive Media (SIIMI) is an initiative of the Media Lab / UFG and its partners at regional, national and international context.

Over the three previous editions the guests and the audience discussed the state of the art research and innovation in interactive media in the fields of art, design, communication, music, cultural and inclusive politics, education, ICT, computing and games resulting in an overview of the topic.

In 2016, inaugurating the two-year phase of the event, the SIIMI adopted as a general theme IGNITION, proposing to discuss the driving force movements that change possibilities.
